SCOTT BLAKEMAN

Scott Blakeman has made more than thirty national television appearances, including Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," and was the warmup comedian for CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

He performs for Jewish audiences around the world, including the Bar Mitzvah Show at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam. He appears regularly at New York's cutting edge cultural center Makor, and at the 92nd St. Y, where he hosted live interviews with comedy greats Robert Klein and Lewis Black.

NBC-TV said Blakeman is, "The top political comedian working in New York today," and The New York Times called him, "An astute, funny political observer."  Scott's political humor from a liberal Jewish point of view was showcased in Laughs From The Left at Guild Hall in East Hampton,The Knitting Factory in New York and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. He is a regular performer at "Laughing Liberally" shows across the country, and has been heard on Air America and National Public Radio.

He was also featured in Radical Mensches and Maniacs: New Jewish Humor and Music at LaMaMa Theater and the Lansky Lounge in New York. Blakeman teaches a Standup Comedy Workshop at The New School,and his past students include Jon Stewart and Caroline Rhea.

DEAN OBEIDALLAH

Dean's comedy comes in large part from his unique background of being the son of a Palestinian father and a Sicilian mother. Dean, who was at one time a practicing attorney, recently received the first annual "Spirit of Bill Hicks Award" for "thought provoking comedy." This award was named after the late political comedian Bill Hicks. Dean has been featured on numerous national and international television  programs, including ABC's "The View and 20/20," PBS's "Newshour with Jim Lehrer" CNN International's "Inside The Middle East"and CNN's " American Morning ."  He has appeared frequently on the national radio network, Air America.

He is the co-creator, with Max Brooks,of the Comedy Central.com show The Watch List  which is the first show ever released by a major American entertainment company to star all Middle-Eastern American comedians. Dean was also recently featured on Comedy Central's Axis of Evil special.

Dean can be seen in the bonus material included in the DVD version of Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 911" in the segment entitled, "Arab-American comedians." He has written jokes that have been featured on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" and CBS's "Late, Late Show."

Dean has also appeared on Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," as well as in numerous sketches on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."  He has been featured in national and international publications including The New York Times, The LA Times, Associated Press, The New York Daily News, Aramica, Al-Quds, and the UK's Guardian Unlimited.

Dean is proud to be the co-founder and co-executive producer of The NY Arab-American Comedy Festival. He has performed at clubs and colleges across the United States as well as at the Seeds of Peace camp in Maine. In addition, Dean has performed comedy in Beirut, Dubai, Haifa and Ramallah in the Middle East.  Dean appears regularly in New York City's top comedy clubs.
